Description:
With over 100 years of experience, Scot Forge leads the industry as one of the most modern and respected forging companies in the world. They operate from five different plants, totaling 1,000,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space. Butler Heavy Structures designed, supplied and coordinated the installation of the structural steel and cladding materials for this new 71,200 sq. ft. addition to the existing facility in Clinton, WI. Design challenges included tying the new north and south additions into the existing facility. The north addition included new furnaces and two 25-ton and one 50-ton top running cranes and the south addition included a new forge and two 25-ton and two 10-ton top running cranes. A rolling roof was used in each addition to expedite heat removal. Butler’s Butlerib® II metal roof and wall systems were used on the facility.
